Hello there,

 

I’m Lisa...the face, hands and heart behind "Just Pies by Lisa."  I'm a wife, mother, entrepreneur, full-time employee in corporate America, and oh, yes, an old fashion baker; with a heart for people and community.

A few years ago I loss my Mother; in remembrance of her sweet, kind and giving soul, and a means to work through my grief , I would use her recipe to make and gift my family and friends with sweet potato pies.  One day a good friend and recipient of my pies suggested that I offer them to the public.  Initially, I had doubts and reservations, as I didn't think there was a market for sweet potato pies all year round, but with the love, support and encouragement of my husband, Marcel, of 30 years, I decided to give it a chance.  In October 2015, "Just Pies by Lisa" was born.

Years later and I am still in awe, humbled by and excited to see and hear people's reaction to my "Sweet Sensation" sweet potato pies.  Some say it tastes just like their mother's and/or grandmother's, and others say it tastes better than any other they ever had before.  What an honor it is to know that I add enjoyment to people's lives, even just for a moment.  

My pies have been used for all types of events and celebrations:  weddings, bridal and baby showers, repasses, graduations, Bat/Bar Mitzvahs, birthday and retirement parties, fundraisers, Valentine's Day, Mother's and Father's Day,  Easter, Thanksgivings, Christmas and other occasions.  My pies are also featured on the dessert menu at Delta's restaurant in New Brunswick, NJ.  

Little did I know my pies would be so well received.  I am truly appreciative, grateful and thankful for all the love, support and referrals I receive.  Thank you for giving me a chance, encouraging me with your support and kind words, and sharing your love for my pies with your family, friends, and co-workers.  Words cannot convey my genuine heartfelt gratitude for you.  You are the reason I bake with such passion and seal every crust with so much love.
