Hello there...I'm Lisa.

I’m the face, hands and heart behind Just Pies by Lisa. I'm a wife, mother, sister, entrepreneur, corporate professional and old-fashioned baker with a heart for people and community.

​

Just Pies by Lisa was born from love, loss and legacy. After losing my mother, I found comfort in baking her sweet potato pie recipe. Her sweet, kind and giving spirit continues to inspire me and sharing her recipe with family and friends became a special way to keep her memory close.

​

When a friend encouraged me to sell my pies, I wasn’t sure anyone wanted sweet potato pie year-round. But, with the unwavering support of my husband, Marcel, I took a leap of faith...and in October 2015, Just Pies by Lisa was born.

​

Years later, I’m still humbled by the response to my signature “Sweet Sensation” Sweet Potato Pie. Some say it tastes just like their mother’s or grandmother’s...bringing back memories of home, family and holidays. Others say it’s better than any sweet potato pie they’ve ever had.

​

For me, that’s what makes this journey so special. It’s more than pie...it’s a taste of home, a connection to cherished memories and something sweet to share with the people you love.

​

Over the years, my pies have been part of weddings, baby showers, repasses, graduations, mitzvahs, birthdays, retirement parties, fundraisers, family gatherings and holiday celebrations. They are even featured on the dessert menu at Delta’s Restaurant in New Brunswick, New Jersey...something I never imagined when I baked that first pie.

I’m truly grateful for every customer, every referral, every kind word and every celebration that has made room for Just Pies by Lisa.
